Quin Forge legal
Terms of Service
Last updated: August 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of Quin Forge. They are written in plain language because we believe you should understand what you agree to.
Accepting the terms
By creating a Quin Forge account or using any part of the website or desktop client, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Quin Forge provides
Quin Forge is a World of Warcraft character simulation workspace. It resolves your character's gear, talents, and stats into numbers (DPS, healing throughput, stat weights, gear rankings) through SimulationCraft and a dedicated healing engine. Results are estimates, not guarantees of in-game performance.
Your account
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We cannot recover a password because we store only a hash.
- One account per person. Sharing accounts degrades the fairness of the queue and is not supported.
- You must be at least 13 years old, or older where your local law requires.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or attack the simulation server.
- Do not automate queue submission beyond the provided interface (it caps CPU fairly across all users).
- Do not use the service to infringe Blizzard Entertainment's terms for World of Warcraft.
- Do not resell, sublicense, or rebrand access to Quin Forge without written permission.
Premium and billing
Premium is a paid plan that grants priority queue access, more saved reports, and an ad-free workspace. Premium is purchased per billing period (30, 90, or 365 days). Prices are shown on the Premium page and confirmed before each purchase.
- Payment is handled by a third-party provider; we never receive your full card details.
- Premium activates once the provider confirms payment and remains active for the purchased duration.
- Premium is non-refundable once the period has begun, except where required by law.
- If a payment is disputed or charged back fraudulently, Premium may be revoked.
SimulationCraft and third-party tools
Quin Forge runs SimulationCraft internally to resolve characters and runs a separate healing engine. SimulationCraft is a separate open-source project under its own license; Quin Forge is not affiliated with SimulationCraft. We do not guarantee that SimulationCraft's output matches in-game results exactly.
Intellectual property
The Quin Forge software, website design, and healing engine are our work. World of Warcraft, all related game data, and all Blizzard trademarks belong to Blizzard Entertainment; Quin Forge is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard. Your imported character profiles remain your data.
Service availability
We work to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, game patches, and upstream changes may cause downtime. Simulation accuracy may shift after a game patch until the data package is updated.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time by opening a bug report in the Quin Forge desktop client (Help → Report a bug) and asking for deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated, particularly in cases of abuse or attack on the service.
Disclaimer
Quin Forge is provided "as is". We are not liable for decisions made in-game based on simulation results, for data loss, or for any indirect or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the preceding 12 months.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify signed-in users. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
